Well…. I do agree with you. But sometimes it’s not that easy. I’ve barely been able to paint in the past handful of years, and I don’t know why. It’s been like nearly a 10 year creative block. I want to paint - I do. I want it every day. I sit and stare at my art supplies and I want my art, be it good or bad, hitting that canvas, but nothing comes to me. It’s not that I don’t want or need my art, it’s not that I don’t think I have anything new to learn from it, because I know I do. It’s not that I don’t sit in front of my canvas, moving paint around on there, hoping something will emerge, because I do. But nothing has as of recently.
So clearly, the image you posted has moved me enough to respond in kind. And it’s nothing against you personally for posting it - like I said, I do agree with you. But I wish it were that simple. I’d love to have my ability to paint back again. I don’t know where it went, but I keep trying.
